"Rufous Hummingbird"This photo was taken in Ouray, Colorado. I didn’t have my telephoto lens at the time and was so so happy he let me capture him with one of my smaller lenses instead! He is truly a beauty and was very territorial. We put a feeder out and he wouldn’t let any other hummers come feed off HIS feeder! They were so fun to watch zoom through the air.

"Hanging on A Drop"I captured this beautiful flamingo at the Dallas Zoo not long after acquiring my lovely telephoto lens! The picture quality is simply stunning. I never even realized a drop of water sat suspended at the end of the beak until going back to review the pictures taken. This chance capture is all the more beautiful for it.

"Rocky Mountain Wildflowers"While perilously ascending a mountain pass, I made our jeep tour driver stop so I could jump out and take a few wildflower pictures before continuing. I do not regret a thing.
"On The Edge"Another jeep tour photo! This time the driver posed the jeep for a good photographic moment and I snapped a picture of it as well as capturing a phenomenal group picture to commemorate the ride.
"Ghost Town"I took this photo within a building in an old mining town while in Colorado. There are all kinds of legends surrounding the old mining town near the Silverton area and it is very interesting to go and see the ruins of what was.

B'wenziB’wenzi is my favorite western lowland gorilla at the Dallas Zoo! He displays a very prominent brow ridge that easily distinguishes him from the other boys in the bachelor trope.
Flying HummerI love hummingbirds. They are fun to capture because you always have to be ready and waiting for one. I photographed this hummer in Texas using my telephoto lens.
Tufted TitmouseThese are some of my favorite North American birds and they are truly a joy to photograph. I captured this beautiful creature up in Arkansas while using my telephoto lens.
